On October 19^th 2017, the long awaited “GT Sport” was released. In this series many new features were added. Among them the editors of We Love SUPERGT!! focused on the “Livery Editor”. In this article I will introduce some of the JGTC・SUPERGT racing machines created using the “Livery Editor” feature.

 

 

 

What’s GT(Gran Turismo)?

Before we jump in let me explain what GT is.

GT is one of the most popular racing games in the world. It boasts a sales of 76.79 million units through out the whole series and is a pioneer of car racing games.

From the first series it has been equipped with an originally developed physics engine and is capable of expressing realistic car movements.

The pursuit of both graphics and realistic movement not only caught the eye of those not interested in games but also influenced many racing games as the pioneer of realistic racing.

Recently, since the game is so realistic, professional drivers have been using this series to simulate and prepare for courses. It has become more than just a game and is truly categorized as a “Racing Simulater”.

As mentioned above, the point of interest in this new series is the “Livery Editor”.

Livery is coloring on the body of a racing car. “Livery Editor” enables the user to freely design and edit Livery.

You can race in the car you designed!

RAYBRIG NSX-GT

Base Car:NSX GT3

 

A machine entered by TEAM KUNIMITSU which has participated in JGTC since 1997.

The distinctive blue and black coloring is beautifully reproduced.

 

B-MAX NDDP GT-R & Hitotsuyama Audi R8 LMS

Very realistic gradation and the detail is well replicated.

 

JMS PMU LMcorsa RC F GT3

Another machine with 2017 coloring “JMS PMU LMcorsa RC F GT3”

 

The drivers are Yuichi Nakayama and Shou Tsuboi. A promising young Duo from TDP.

Nakayama became champion in F3 and FCJ. Tsuboi became champion in FIA-F4 and from 2016 he has been a major player in F3. They both have proven their ability and left their mark in formula racing.

A GT3 remake of the “FET powercraft Supra” which competed in the JGTC of 1995.

This is definitely a replica unique to Gran Turismo.

It might be interesting to race a current machine clothed with coloring of an old timer machine.

 

 

ZENT CERUMO RC F

An RC F with the coloring of a current GT500 machine “AENT CERUMO LC500”

The design of this years ZENT is well reproduced.

There’s a freshness in GT500 replicas of current GT300 machines as well.

 

 

PACIFC NAC IKAMUSUME 458

You may be familiar with the “Itasha” of SUPERGT. There are actually craftsmen who create them with the GT Livery Editor.

There are more layers than normal replicas so it takes a lot of effort but when it is finished it’s quite very impressive.

This machine is decorated with the character “Ikamusume” from the popular manga “Squid Girl”.

 

 

Drago Modulo NSX CONCEPT-GT

The “Drago Modulo NSX CONCEPT-GT” entered by Drago Modulo Honda Racing in 2016.

During the same year they Announced their withdrawal from SUPERGT. from the 2017 series on behalf of Drago Modulo Honda Racing team Mugen joined.

But the team only competed in 2 seasons from 2015~2016.

A person who goes by the name “meipru” made a replica of it, basically reproducing all the actual decals of the machine. His artwork is really something to look at.

He says he has confidence in making it look realistic and by a look at it you can tell it’s high quality livery.

 

 

VivaC 86 MC

This next one was also made by meipru.

He says there are some decals left out but he covered most of the machine so it has the aura.

This design with a lot of shapes put together is one of the harder machines to replicate.

 

 

PENNZOIL NISMO GT-R

We won’t be seeing this combination any more but the PENNZOIL coloring on the current GT-R R35 looks great!
